Over the course of my career, working across companies both nationally and internationally, I experienced first-hand just how much it matters to feel cared for at work. We spend around eight hours a day at our jobs, and yet, far too often, our birthday passes without a single word. But in those places - and countries - where it was celebrated, the impact was transformative. That small gesture changed everything: colleagues became friends, both inside and outside the office, and the overall attitude of the team shifted towards a much more positive and collaborative mindset.
